Serving the Sacred Mother Godavari

Committed to Conservation: A Mission for the Godavari

Ramteerth Godavari Seva Samiti has been dedicated to the service of the sacred Ganga Godavari River for the past two years. The committee was officially registered as a public trust with the Charity Commissioner on July 5, 2023, but even before this formal establishment, the committee had been making comprehensive efforts for river conservation.

The purpose of Ramteerth Godavari Seva Samiti is to bring together people from all walks of society, setting aside differences of caste, gender, age, etc., to collectively pay homage to Mother Godavari and fulfill their duties towards society. The committee was founded with this spirit, with a particular focus on instilling national values in the youth and reinforcing the principle of “Nation First!”

Mother Godavari is the second largest river in India and the lifeline of South India. Originating from Brahmagiri, the Godavari merges into the sea at Rajamahendri after flowing through various regions. Along its banks, diverse cultures have emerged, developed, settled, and cultivated values that have shaped the nation. The Godavari River, which sustains agriculture, industry, and various life forms, is indeed our mother.
